Welcome to USCINM
(U.S. Center For India Nepal Mission)
Welcome to USCINM
(U.S. Center For India Nepal Mission)
Entering the gate of this mission, one may feel that he/ she is entering a house in an old city like Patna, India, or Newer Community or Rana Palaces in Nepal; entering space looks so narrow, small but as soon as enters he/she will find a huge gardens and kitchen vegetable paddies, and even recreation places. Likewise, It looks so small mission one may think but the MISSION FIELD and WORKS are ever vast and you’ll feel like doing something and worthwhile doing it. And you will shout “Wow, This is India! Nepal!” May God Bless India! Nepal ! One told that if he, borrowing Hindu-concept, comes back to this planet again, I would come to India to help people to meet Savior...
USCINM is based on Chairman’s Years of Vietnam Field Experience during the war and over 31 years of missions & academic experiences in India and Nepal and the guidance of God the Holy Spirit over the years. The organization has been functioning on the strong belief that God is always with us to carry on the mission works. It was founded in early 1990 which was a deep dream that came in the early Nineteen Eighties after a careful feasibility studies on mission and seeing the results of Korean Church Missions from 1950 up to Nineteen Eighties. The missions were weak in support and inconsistent resulted in a loss of missionaries. So the great loss of personnel to other overseas missions after financially struggling (missionaries could not survive with inconsistent Korean Missions Support so they joined other foreign missions such as missions from U.S.A., UBS= Union Bible society, or theological institutions in U.S.A.) They transfer their membership to other missions
.
Finally, The chairman made a full decision to set up a mission in cooperation with some elders like Elder Daniel Suh, who had supported India Nepal Mission over decades, and inspired him to set up this organization, even though lots of hindrances were ahead of him.
USCINM was finally, founded by Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Sungho Lee who is the First Korean Missionary to India and Nepal. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Sungho Lee was invited by IEM (Indian Evangelical Mission) via EFI (Evangelical Fellowship of India) for the work of IEM. The mission work within India includes areas such as Nepal, Indian islands, even Indians abroad when the works are possible. At the time Rev. Dr, Lee left for India for the first time, Ex-Rev. Kim, Keiyong, a pastor personally helped Rev. Dr. Lee though later his church approved the idea of commissioning him as the First Missionary to India. At last Rev. Kim’s Church was persuaded to send Rev. Lee and commissioned Rev. Dr. Lee as a Missionary to India and Nepal Regions. From 1982 to 1992, This Church supported Rev. Dr. Lee.
After a mysterious sudden death of Rev. Kim, Keiyong in North Korea, this church had completely stopped the support of the mission. Since 1992 while Rev. Lee was working in Jungle of India. Since that time Rev. Dr. Lee had to support his family and had to carry on the mission works, and support his organization by periodic donations from various churches and individuals. A church like “Korean United Church in Philadelphia” and World Mission in that church had never stopped praying, helping Rev. Lee they started supporting him from 1983 and still helping him, and also Synill Presbyterian Church pastor and session are always helpful at the time of emergency of his and his family.USCINM is a non-profitable, government permitted, tax-deductible, religious, mission organization which has dual responsibilities: domestic and foreign such as USA / India and Nepal. In the U.S.A., we must develop the resources and the personnel to train missionary candidates within the U.S.A. Academically as well as spiritually training and full orientation for the mission works. And this mission must develop financial support. For new immigrants in US (Indians and Nepalese) this mission must carefully look into the possibilities to help peoples. Possibly we may able to find the same Spirit -led Indian/ Nepalese for the designated mission fields.
Within India and Nepal, a full swing of plans for the development of seminaries to produce ecclesiastical leaders, primarily pastors according to language groups, must be studied. And a fully oriented and integrated mission works; to meet the spiritual, social actual needs. In the month of April of the year 2003, Rev. Chang Hoo Lee, pastor of the San Diego Hope Presbyterian Church helped this mission to be registered in the U.S. Government and received the full permission. In the recent years, many people have been interested in helping the growth of the work of this mission. Many people and churches are praying for the designated mission fields of India and Nepal. We are hoping that this mission will grow and be able to carry on the mission work which has been planned for years.
This mission has been closely related with local missions in the field of India, such as India Nepal Mission, Inc. In Nepal, India-Nepal Mission office in Thailand (IN Mission Office). Nepal Theological Seminary, and Jesus’ Abbey, Indian Evangelical Mission and Christ’s Disciples Fellowship and Evangelical Fellowship of India and churches. We are focusing more on the production of well trained ecclesiastical leaders and seeing other areas that we may look into to further the mission. Planting churches from Calcutta to Kathmandu and Kathmandu to Hariyana. You may join us with your prayers first, then with your financial help for the mission, you may personally get involved in the mission fields by teaching in the seminary if qualified. If you are a constructional engineer, you may help us build to improve our campuses both in Nepal and India. Please do not hesitate to contact us!
OUR VISIONS
By the grace of God we are stretching out the mission works from India to the borders of Khasha, Tibet (now territory of China), and Nepali territory; strategic areas for mission work include India, Nepal, and parts of Burma near Mizoram, Sikkim and Bhutan. These areas have raised ecclesiastical leaders who have developed deep love for their own country as well as ultimate goals of glorifying God by pioneering ecclesiastical bodies within Nepal and India. The founder/chairman once said, “Fill these lands with well-trained ecclesiastical and patriotic leaders so they can carry on visions that God has given in order that we may sleep peaceably at last.”
Our first priority is to develop and produce ecclesiastical leaders by nurturing them towards full maturity and pioneer the ecclesiastical body (priesthood and church).
Our second priority is to build up educational institutions; kindergartens to 12th grades and up to university education to promote the nations’ ability towards prosperity and democracy and finally for peace and blessings. And the education institutions can be the vehicles for the priority one.
Our third priority is to provide medical care by building hospitals, dispensaries, health posts, and providing community health education until the national Christian bodies or leaders are able to run by themselves.
Furthermore, we wish to establish theological seminaries that adapt to the various groups of people and languages in the designated areas. This is the final and most important goal of our belief. We must, make an integrated plan for the future.

We believe that the Old and New Testaments the Holy Scriptures is Word of God, has to be believed and obeyed as an absolute truth, an infallible truth and rule in Christian faith and in practice, not to dispute. But to be obeyed. And of the interpretation of Scripture is the Scripture itself and therefore when there is a question about the true and full sense of any Scripture that must be searched and known by other places that speak more clearly.
The Great
Commission is to be obeyed by all
Christians and their Churches and is to be applied not only to the direct
Jesus’ disciples but also to all Christians even Today. We believe that Jesus
is always with us until the end of age in process of preparation, execute His
commands and Culmination of the mission. We are to raise leaders and
nurture the ecclesiastical bodies for the glory of God and His Kingdom
:pioneer them, nurture them and submit to the existing
ecclesiastical bodies in that particular regions where we are
serving. And we are to develop theological trainers who are able to teach in
these mission fields within and outside
We believe that the history of each nations are in the hand of the Almighty God for the Gospel to be delivered and nations to be saved. Therefore, we, Christians with their Churches must put the Great Commission in the first place of ministry in the Church and life.
Chairman’s Desk
A great turning point that geared my direction towards overseas mission work in my Christian Life was taken place on the battlefield in Vietnam. My earnest prayer at that time was that I could return to Vietnam as a missionary. I prayed that I would return home safely and unharmed. But at the time I was starting my missionary career, Vietnam was totally closed. That time was a year after returning home. I clearly realized that God was calling me for India and Nepal regions. As I was preparing myself to start the mission trip, I realized God had called me. No one could alter my direction in life except God alone. The burden of the mission for India and Nepal have been always with me no matter what kind of condition I was in, these past many years.
On receiving an invitation letter from Rev. Dr. & Mrs. Theodore Williams, general secretary, Indian Evangelical Mission (a native mission organization in India) in winter of the year prior to this trip, in which the invitation letter was approved by EFI, Evangelical Fellowship of India (a highest mission organization in India) I started preparing to go to India. The vast India sub-continent stretches from the tropical coconut farmed south to the snowcapped Himalayan Mountain ranges in the North. Hundreds of Languages, customs, cultures and people groups make up this vast area of enriched peoples.Racially, India is made up of early African peoples the original inhabitants called Dravidians, From Epic age also when the African continent was very near with the Indian-subcontinent both Indians and Africans had active exchanges of goods and cultures traveling by Canoos. But later years as the lithosphere movements made the two continents far distant. Even Today's at least some meters of Mount Everest going up every year. In details Mongoloids from China, Mongolia, Ural plains and elsewhere and Negroids from pacific, Oseania, Mediterranean, Asian Islands and in later times the European called Aryans*also called Indo-Europeans) intermingled with Indian Original Inhabitants . Mongoloids are from epic age as seeing Hindu Scriptures and earliest mural paintings in the Hindu temples there men with archery indicates that Mongoloids had existed from epic ages of early Indian History. And India has 1657 languages and dialects while Nepal has 127. About 65 percent out of these languages are based on Sanskrit. In India still the new dialects yet to find.
Cf. Dravidans: African-Negroid, Oseanian- Negroids,
Polynesian-Negroids, Mediterranean-Negroids
Aryabs: Indo-Europeans
Mongoloids: from Chian, Mongol, Ural Mountains
from the Mahabharata=Epic ages
cf. from Manorama, Indian magazine
The area today is vast mixture of ancient and modern culture. You may thrilled at this India Nepal. Wonder that was India! Or Nepal! My wife J. Priscilla and I began our mission experience in India from South to North and in Kathmandu, Nepal, where we traversed innumerable hardships and trials. We birthed and raised and educated our two children, Taeun Biswas (Son) and Hyunmee Rivkah (Daughter) there. All two children are grown up. Teaun is member of American Poet Society and Hyunmee is student of Master of Divinity in USA.
As Indian Elderly friends advised me to carry on the mission works as a travelers like Gypsy or Traveling Singers in the ancient time. I joined with traveler evangelists coming and going between India and Nepal. In India 5 or 6 months and in Nepal 2 months. This way already 31 years are passing by. We established an evangelical yet highly academicals theological seminary, and planted churches in India as well as Nepal. Nepal Theological Seminary and Churches, a Hospital (near China border) in Nepal are the chief ministry.
As a culmination of our missionary career we are projecting an additional monastery type seminary in Shukhna, India, for the regions of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Myanmar (Burma), Bangladesh, Sikkim and even if possible from China and Tibetans. Nepali speaking populations can mix with those places where the seminary can hold. Fill the lands with the well trained pastors. This dream that God has given to me will be realized.
For the new seminary I am searching for the continually an extendable 99 year lease of 65 acres of beautiful forest land. Our primary focus is on producing the well trained pastors, ecclesiastical leaders, and also from these area train missionaries; Training and sending them for short and long term mission works and for Nepalese and Indian immigrants to the lost.We need your prayers and supports. Ceasing the main support from Korean Churches in Korea I have been experiencing unspeakable difficulties that need your prayers. Thank You and Glory to God only! We can not carry all these burdens all by ourselves. We need your helps.

G. A Hospital that Emmanuel built is again in our hands:
During the years of unspeakable struggles in mission field Emmanuel built a hospital in the border of Nepal and Tibet-China, DOLAKHA HOSPITAL under Epilepsy Association which Emmanuel had been serving as a director assigned to the Social Service Bureau of Nepal Government over years to make as a mission hospital where we can do mission works freely.
However unpleasant characters intervened and internal disintegration while Emmanuel was in Furlough this hospital had to be handed over to government. This government could not run even a year. Again it has been running by a local personnel. Now it is Emmanuel’s hand again. A full swing of operation will be soon.
H. A Mission
I. Tracts created new distributing:
Funds for printing the tracts and the designs provided by Rev. Dr. Eric Brockhoff We had distributed in 2004 was 1.50 millions around the cities and villages in Nepal. Especially during the football tournaments mobilizing seminary evangelistic team who were well trained and spiritually prepared had not only distributing the tracts but also numerous individual contacts making possible to bring souls to Christ. We continued to do this works every year. Every weekend our pupils of NTSU are visiting peoples and meeting peoples on the street and making appointment to make friends and win the souls for Christ. Tracts are designed by Rev. Dr. Eric Brockhoff which is simple and effective if one is prepared spiritually. he dynamical Words of God, deep prayer , deep love for souls, and keen to the voice of God is major fact of an effective evangelism. Translation of this tracts are on its way. We are aiming to create and print in different languages in Nepal and India. All these made possible of Hidden Helpers like you. Some contributed for printing. Some for photocopying the same tracts. We look for all possible directions and methods to bring souls to Christ our Lord and also their Lord. This work also occupies in an important role in mission.

O. TFPC Medical Team: (Torrance First Presbyterian Church Short Term Medical Missinary Team)
(SAM HYUK YOON, DAVID ZAI HONG, YOUNG HWANGAE LYEN YOON, KYUNGMI LEE, GILSOON KIM, JUNGWHA LEE, KEVIN THOMAS, DANIEL LEE, SAMUEL KOOKRAK SON) ARRIVED IN TRIBHUVAN AIRPORT,
KATHMANDU, Nepal (September 12-17). 2005)
With the numbered huge bundles that each members hardly able to handle arrived at the Tribhuvan Airport, Kathmandu the Ancient city. Pastor Emmanuel, Norbulinka Hotel Manager with the Seminary staff were waiting for them. Norbulinka Hotel Manager told Pastor Lee that he can recognize them all by their body language for he took care of so many Koreans either Koreans from Korea or abroad. On arrive they were guided to Pashupatinath Hindu Temple where usually people can see the Death Rituals which is very similar to that of India about this time of that plane arrival. And then to the NTSU where Newar Community is located a little far off from the Ring-Road. Cooled of for some time all guided to the Norblinka Hotel where they can enjoy Korean Foods all the way through the medical camp period…fluently speaking Korean Speaking Hotel Manager and food made them not much like foreign to them. They enjoyed breakfast that delivered luncheon buffet from hotel right in the seminary campus and dinner also Korean food… All must be satisfied with this program.
Over 2000 patients in Sunakothi Gaon, whom used to be workers in the beginning of that seminary construction from 1986.They all know Pastor Emmanuel. General, internal medicine, podiatry, two different Korean Traditional Medicine which was the most famous not only the aged but also young girls. All surprised at the skills of immediate remove of pain from body. And approximately 1000 new eye-glasses been distributed to all young and old. Regardless age or gender Mrs. Kim had cut their hairs with most recent styles; V, Step, clean…even abandoned children who never had their washed. Mrs. Kim washed them all without hesitation.
Pharmacists and pediatric corner were always full of patients. Such many children! All were taken care of. During the camps the large and black mosquitoes attacked our member what all killed by Korean Mosquito Killers. It was lucky that this valley is not in terai area where the Malaria mosquitoes revived. At this time all the seminary furniture's, facilities, and pupils as well...They were very very helpful.
As a pre-Evangelistic Activity this camp is very important for the theologically or ecclesiastically trained ones can not do all these roles. They are not of course the medical doctors. Like Albert Sweizer one can not do all the roles. Villagers must have felt a warm kind treatments and long remembering experience. This camp will continue every year for the different areas in Kingdom of Nepal.. So many places yet to go. Seeing Kathmandu only one can not fully see Nepal. May God bless the team and the TFPC. For next year they may guided to Pokhara or Terai areas.
